The stupidity of Power Point itself and all those fucks with "I'm working for Microsoft" tattooed on their foreheads is simply beyond imagination. You actually cannot change language of all PowerPoint slides at once. You have to:

  • do this manually (each and every slide and text box separately!),
  • mess up with outline view (won't work for future-written text!),
  • mess up with system settings or
  • even be forced to use Visual Basic for Applications (here, here, here and here).

Thirty years of PowerPoint's development wasn't enough time for MS-Morons to figure out that global change of language would actually be a useful functionality!

There is a third (next to this one and this one), quite pretty fuckup with HP printer's settings. Even though they have full hardware support for duplex printing, this feature (as good as many others -- like manual page feeding) comes disabled.

There is another (next to this one), quite pretty fuckup with HP printer's settings. This time not related to language or location, but to network configuration instead.

On non-DHCP networks printers cannot access Internet out-of-the-box because morons at HP didn't added DNS settings to touchscreen configuration menu.

When running my HP LaserJet Pro M426fdn for the first time I didn't removed touchscreen foil and my finger slipped over when selecting location of my printer. I ended up with having proper language but location set to Estonia and some reports (like Google Cloud Print configuration leaflet) printed in cyrylic (even though entire printer interface was set to English).

Unfortunately, due to extreme stupidity of HP engineers you are forced to perform a full factory reset of your printer in this situation.

There's a huge weird bug in Polycom SoundPoint IP 331 PoE phones.

When changing display name using web panel you can enter space in it. This will be accepted, but after phone is restarted this will render in useless (many features not working; unable to call any number).

You'll be forced to reset your phone to defaults (see here for details).
