Compaq CQ61-220EW and Gigabit Internet

Don't you never, ever buy HP or Compaq notebooks! Ever! Don't you never, ever buy HP or Compaq notebooks! Ever! You'll get over-priced, over-dated, old computer that has nothing to current trends and electronic progress.

Here's why:

1. HP / Compaq is the only (known to me) notebook producer that is installing 32-bit Windows Vista on 64-bit architecture computers. Plus, it sells (end of 2009) computers with so-called free Windows 7 Upgrade programme letting you (for only 120 euro shipping & handling) get brand new... 32-bit Windows 7.

2. HP / Compaq is the only (known to me) notebook producer that in the end of 2009 is installing on board its notebooks a Fast Ethernet network card (mainboard integrated chip) without any option of changing of upgrading it. In 2009! When whole world is already Gigabit-ready for past ten years (Gigabit transfer protocol approved in 1999)!

3. If you ever dare to ask HP Support question about any possible option to have Gigabit ethernet on CQ61-220, you'll get a nice answer that they are so..., so... sorry but they do not provide any support for changing hardware configuration for their laptops and therefore no additional information is available. I must admit, I never before heard a nicer, more diplomatic way of saying "Fuck you, you naive moron! We got your money, we won't do anything else for you! What did you expected?".

So, the conlusion is... let me repeat this one more time... Don't you never, ever buy HP or Compaq notebooks! Ever! You'll get over-priced, over-dated, old computer that has nothing to current trends and electronic progress.
